Kid’s Night Out — Nerf Night
6:00–7:30 PM at the studio. An action-packed night of games with friends — dinner included. $30 per kid. You bring your A game, we bring everything else. Call, email, or talk to an instructor to save a spot.

Early-bird deadline — Fall Extravaganza
Last day for early-bird pricing on the Region 5 fall tournament: $55 for competitors instead of $65. Final registration closes October 3.
2026 Fall Extravaganza — Frankenmuth
The Region 5 fall tournament, hosted this year at the Kearn Pavilion, 601 Weiss Street, Frankenmuth — about an hour from the studio. Divisions for every rank, from non-judged forms for our youngest students through gear sparring, weapons and breaking. Spectators $5.

Rank testing
Held at the studio through the year. Little Dragons cycles run about four months and finish with a test in front of the class. Mr. Bugala announces test nights in class once a group is ready.
Region 5 Black Belt Camp
A weekend each year where our dan ranks train with masters from across Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. The 2026 theme was Ryun Ma — Polish Your Skills.
WTSDA World Championships
The association’s world event — roughly 1,800 practitioners from seventeen countries. The 2026 theme was One Family, and Ironwood sent seven competitors.
Beyond the studio
The wider Tang Soo Do community.
Ironwood is one studio inside a very large association. Region 5 alone covers Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin, and runs its own camps, clinics and tournaments through the year.
